It’s completely fine to only offer Builder Gel nail services for example, or or only offer Acrylic Nail Enhancements, but if you get clients enquiring about services you don’t offer, they will go elsewhere to have thier nails done. As a professional Nail Technician I made it my business to ensure I could offer expert nail services in what the client requested or more importantly NEEDED!
Unfortunately, my story isn’t unique…
Back in 2001 I booked a hard gel beginners nail course and after it being cancelled twice by the brand, they advised me to contact the educator to arrange my course with her direct. I did this and even looking back now, she taught me well (except for 1 piece of mis-information, but thats another story)
I was happy with the tuition I received and started practicing and then doing clients, who were all happy too!
THEN… I wanted to do more training and learn Acrylic Nail Enhancements to expand my services, however when I chose the brand I wanted to use and learn with, they refused me as I hadn’t got a valid nail qualification – I didn’t even have a certificate to show for my hard work!
I had to book another beginner nail course, pay again and do it all over again :(
As I said, my story isn’t a one off, there have been hundreds of people caught in the same situation when courses have been offered by nail tech’s who:
1) haven’t got a teaching qualification to start with and
2) haven’t gained accreditation from an awarding body/Insurance company.

So who am I? Why would you decide to train with me?
I’ve been working in the Nail Industry for 23 years. I regularly travel into London and Paris to perform perfect manicures for models on brand photoshoots (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, DeBeers and so many more!) as well as doing the nails for designers at London and Paris fashion weeks.
